Product Information

Ali Foster is the author of the picturebooks Elwyn's Dream (illus. Viv Walker) and The Eels of ANZAC Bridge (illus. Viv Walker.) She is currently completing a Diploma in Children's Literature but is frequently distracted by the desire to write. Ali has worked in a diverse range of occupations including equine groom, livestock technician and cafe proprietor. She has worked as a teacher aide for the last nine years and is an adult literacy tutor.


Viv Walker trained overseas in graphic design, returning to work in the industry in Wellington. Having her own children renewed her love of illustration and resulted in the opportunity to illustrate Elwyn's Dream, written by Ali Foster in 2008. Viv's other art-related activities include running her business Swirl Design, painting and exhibiting and teaching foundation art classes. She is a member of local art group 'Wai Art' and her fine art portfolio can be found at www.waiart.org.nz.
